Welcome to the colorful world of the Turn of the Century Lampshade, also
referred to as the Victorian Lampshade. In America, the Victorian era
was also called "the Cinderella of all the antique periods" as represented
by the style of these elegant lampshades. For 25 years during the 1960's,
1970's and the 1980's, I bought and sold antiques. I was attracted to
the original Victorian lampshades and their bases, so I collected them
as a personal hobby. My background is filled with art and in 1982 was
taught the art of making hand-sewn, hand-dyed Victorian Lampshades. Many
of our styles are designed from my original collection. Because we pride
ourselves on quality, all of our designs and materials have been carefully
selected. We have discovered that conservative styles are more related
to color than the frame shape, so one could have a conservative look with
any of our frame styles. Look through our site and imagine how we can
change your lampshades to a very creative and exciting lighting world.
