Lampshade Color Combinations
Each lampshade has a color combination of two colors. The first is the base
fabric in a crape back satin. This fabric color is usually the lighter of
the two which allows more light to shine through when the light is on. The
second color is sheer georgette that makes the pleats and rosettes, which
is the dominant color when the light is turned off. The twill, laces, accent
trims, top braided trims and fringe are all hand dyed to compliment these
two colors. The fringe is variegated with both colors, with the darker color
on the bottom. Fabric content varies, so when dyed, the colors will vary.
This creates the tint and tone contrasts that give the lampshade a rich
elegant look. Display of fabric swatches on the internet are may not show
